 Irene Achieng Ochanda was born on 5th March 2008 to Absalom Ochanda Ondigo and Caroline Awuor Odero in Kagan Village, Homa Bay County. She joined Shelter of Hope Academy in January 2018. Irene Is currently looking for a sponsor to help fund her education.She is currently in grade three (3)  Evance Okoth Ochanda was born on 29th September 2011 in kagan village, Homa Bay County. His parents are Absalom Ochanda and Caroline Awuor and are peasant farmers. Evance is second born among three siblings. He is in Pre-School level one (1) at Shelter of Hope Academy. His favorite subject is number work. He loves outdoor activities. At home, Evance helps out by giving feeds to chicken. He is quite and friendly boy. His mother says that he wishes to be military soldier when he grows up.

Jane Atieno Otieno

 Jane Atieno Otieno was born on 7th April 2008 to George Otieno Obiya and Lencer Anyango Otieno.  She was born in Rachuonyo District, Homa Bay County. Jane’s parents are both alive but she stays with her old grandmother and schools at Shelter of Hope Academy in grade two (2). She loves outdoor activities. Jane and her grandmother fellowships at Grace Bible Chapel, where she is in Sunday school. Jane loves eggs and kales. She works hard to be a doctor in future.  Morine Atieno Ouma was born on 7th November 2008 to Joseph Ouma Atieno and Mary Aoko Ouma who are casual laborers. She was born and lives in Kagan Ward with both parents. Morine was admitted at Shelter of Hope Academy in 2013 and is currently in grade five (5). She enjoys playing football and netball at school.  At home, Morine helps out by cleaning utensils, collecting firewood. She is hard worker and always desires to be position one in her class.  Morine aspires to be a doctor in future.

Roselyn Rima Adhiambo

 Roseline Rima Adhiambo was born on 24th October 2011 to Moses Okoth and Afline Akinyi Ogoch. She lives in Kanyaruanda village, Kagan ward, Homa Bay County with her mother. Her father is in Nairobi doing menial jobs. Roseline joined Shelter of Hope in January 2018 and is in grade one (1). She is an outgoing pupil who pays attention to her studies. Roseline enjoys going to church and is in Sunday school. She has education needs to achieve her dream of becoming doctor. Her favorite meal is meat and fried eggs.  Rose Akinyi Ondiek was born on 27th February 2011 to Salmon Oloo Ondiek and Alice Adhiambo Oloo. Her father is security guard at Shelter of Hope Academy while her mother is a peasant farmer. Rose comes from Kagan ward. She joined Shelter of Hope Academy in January 2018. She is in grade one (1). Rose plays with dolls and enjoys rope skipping too. She helps out by collecting firewood and fetching water. Rose enjoys eating rice and beans as her favorite meals.  Being a nurse is her future dream

Sheryl Atieno Ondiek was born on 27th June 2013 and comes from Kagan ward. His father Salmon Oloo Ondiek is security officer at Shelter of Hope while her mother Alice Adhiambo Ondiek is a peasant farmer. Sheryl schools at Shelter of Hope Academy Pre-School level one (1). She is calm boy who loves outdoor activities. Sheryl wants to be police officer when she grows up. Mercy Atieno Omondi was born on 25th December 2006 in Ugenya, Siaya County. Her parents are Benard Omondi Ooko and Mary Anyango Ooko. Mercy Joined Shelter of Hope Academy in 2018 and is currently in grade 4.Her best subjects are Religious studies and Number work. She is bright and God fearing young girl who goes to Grace Bible Chapel. At home, Mercy helps out by taking care of cattle and cooking family meals. She wishes to be teacher when she grows up.

Venessa Lorenzo was born 2nd October 2013 to David Omondi Otieno and Iska Akoth Omondi. Both parents are alive. Venessa who lives with both parents in Gongo location, Homa Bay County, was born in Kajiado County. She joined Shelter of Hope Academy in January 2017, and is in Pre-School level one (1).

Venessa enjoys outdoor playing activities with her classmates. She is happy and jovial girl. Rice and beans are her favorite meals. Venessa being too young has not decide on her future career. The young girl has education needs to achieve her academic dreams.

ian Ochieng Odero was born on 30th October 2007 to Kennedy Odero Miyare and Eunice Akinyi Odhiambo in Kagan village, Homa Bay County. Both parents are alive and are casual laborers. Brian is in grade four (4) at Shelter of Hope Academy. Maths is his best subject. He is focused in his class work activities. Brian is working smart to be a lawyer in future. At home, Brian helps out by looking after cattle, fetching water, collecting firewood and feeding chicken.

Elijah Omondi Otieno was born on 3rd August 2004 to Benard Otieno and Lorna Atieno in kagan village, Homa Bay County. Elijah joined Shelter of Hope Academy in 2017 and is in grade four (4), where his performance is above average. He is active in soccer activities. At home, Elijah helps out by taking care of domestic animals. Elijah aspires to be police officer in future. Walter Blair Oloo was born on 10th August 2008 to Dismas Oloo Odero and Pamela Achieng Oloo in Kanyaruanda village, Kagan ward- Homa Bay County. Both parents are alive and are peasant farmers.  Walter joined Shelter of Hope Academy in 2014 and is bright pupil in grade two (2). He loves athletics and soccer. He helps family by taking care of home trees, looking after sheep and fetching water.  Walter fellowships with his family at Lords Last Call Church, in Sunday school. Sherlyne Maynce Oloo was born 3rd September 2013, to Dismas Oloo Odero and Pamela Achieng Oloo who are both alive and are peasant farmers.  Sherelyne is in Pre-school level one (1) at Shelter of Hope Academy. She loves outdoor playing activities. Sherelyne is a happy girl and enjoys playing with others. Her hobbies are drawing pictures and skipping rope. Sherelyne is young and not decide on her future career. Christine Achieng Ochieng was born on 10th October 2010 to Benard Ochieng Ong’ore and Beatrice Akinyi Akoth in Migori County. Christine was taken by her aunt- Florence Oleche who lives in Kagan village and both fellowships at Grace Bible Chapel.  Christine is in Pre-school level one (1) and is hardworking girl. She loves outdoor playing activities.  Her hobbies are molding with clay and playing with dolls. Christine aspire to be a doctor in future.

Annah joined Shelter of Hope Academy and is in grade one (one).  Mathematics is her favorite subject. Annah is sixth born in family seven children. Her hobbies are playing with dolls. She goes to Sunday school with her family. Annah wishes to be a nurse in future. Shem Odiwuor Otieno was born on 18th September 2014, to Benard Otieno and Lorna Atieno in Kagan Village, Homa Bay County. Shem joined Shelter of Hope Academy in January 2018 in Pre-school level one (1). Shem loves drawing pictures. He enjoys playing with toys and molding clay. Shem is playful but loves class activities too. He attends Sunday school with his siblings.

Austine is first born in family of three children. He is in grade one (1) at Shelter of Hope Academy. He enjoys football.  Austine is Sunday school boy and loves memory verses. At home, Austine helps out by fetching water and looking after sheep. He enjoys reading storybooks as his hobby. He aspires to be an engineer in future.

Beline Adongo Warinda was born on 10th April 2007 to Samson Warinda Sero and Caroline Adhiambo Warinda, Kagan village Homa Bay County. Beline has twin brother William. Both parents are alive. Beline’s father is peasant farmer while her mother is a cook at Shelter of Hope Academy. Beline is in grade four (4) at Shelter of Hope Academy. Beline fellowships at Grace Bible Chapel- Sunday school. Her hobbies are drawing pictures and rope skipping. Beline helps out at home by cleaning utensils and collecting firewood. Beline’s dream is to be nurse in future. Clinton Odhiambo Ochola was born on 30th November 2010 in Kagan village, Homa Bay County. Clinton was born out of wedlock to single mother, Lilian Awino Otina. Clinton’s mother works as maid in Homa Bay town. All along, Clinton has been living with his grandmother who pays his education fees. He is in Pre-school level one (1) at Shelter of Hope Academy. He is disciplined and active boy in class activities. Clinton helps out at home by looking after sheep and home gardening. His dream is to be a lawyer.

Caroline is a cook at Shelter of Hope Academy while Samson depends on subsistence farming for income. William is bright grade four (4) pupil at Shelter of Hope Academy. William fellowships with his family members at Grace Bible Chapel. William is in Sunday school. He aspires to be a teacher in future. Felix Omondi Okeyo was born on 29th March 2006 in Gongo village, Homa Bay County. His parents Samwel Okeyo Ooko and Millicent Atieno Okeyo, are both peasant farmers. Felix is in grade three (3) at Shelter of Hope Academy. Felix has proved to be disciplined and determined to excel in his academics. At his tender age, represents school in soccer tournaments. Felix is a member of pathfinder group in Seventh Day Adventist Church. In the future, he looks forward to be professional soccer play.

Mathematics is his best subject. Moses belongs to pathfinder category in Seventh Day Adventist. At home, Moses helps out by looking after animals and fetching water. Moses loves to play volleyball. He aspires to be engineer in future.

Handy Willis Okello was born on 21st March 2013, Nairobi County, to George Olum and Ruth Awuor. Both parents are alive and are peasant farmers in kagan village, Homa Bay County. Handy is in Pre-School level one (1) at Shelter of Hope Academy. He is friendly and bright boy. At home, he helps out by looking after small animals.
