Our Commitment to Ending Gender-Based Violence
Shelter of Hope Kenya is committed to preventing and responding to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in all its forms. GBV remains a critical human rights issue in Kenya, affecting women, girls, children, and vulnerable populations across communities. Rooted in inequality, harmful cultural practices, poverty, and lack of awareness, GBV continues to rob survivors of dignity, safety, and opportunity. Our GBV program is a core objective of Shelter of Hope Kenya, aimed at protecting survivors, restoring hope, and promoting safe, inclusive, and violence-free communities.
We are committed to preventing any harmful act directed at any individual based on their gender. Some of the GBV We have addressed includes:
Ending Violence. Restoring Dignity.
Rebuilding Lives.

Counseling and
Spiritual Care
As a Christian organization, we do have a church at our project sites, that is Kiambiu, Nairobi and Kagan, Homa bay County. The churches do offer spiritual nourishment, counselling and guidance to our beneficiaries and the entire community.
Most of the children in our education centres and under sponsorship do attend these churches every Sundays. Among the greatest joy and pride we have as an organization, is teaching the young children and the youth, the word of God that will guide them in leading righteous lives from Christ’s existance in the world. The church is our lifetime partner as Christ remains the firm foundation of all our programs and projects.
