Current & Future Plans
Shelter of Hope plans to do more community advocacy, sensitization in order to bridge the gaps in our societies. Shelter of Hope plans to increase the programs and also increase the number of beneficiaries in our programs. Our major underway plan is the construction of ultra modern education centres and health facilities with up-to-date equipment both in Kagan, Homa-bay County and Kiambiu, Nairobi, County.

In the last quarter of the year 2016, Shelter of Hope started the construction of it’s village school.

Kitchen and Dining Hall
In schools that offer meals, dining hall and kitchen is a necessity. At the moment, there is no dining hall is in place. Pupils serve meals and eat outside the kitchen. This is not the culture we would wish to continue going into the future. The future plan is to establish modern kitchen with relevant furniture and equipment. The vision and plans are already drawn. We trust the Lord for the availability of resources to actualize the dream.
Library
The two schools have not established library. There is dire need of books for effective learning process. The inadequate computers are affecting digital learning process in both centers. The public schools are far ahead of us due to government digital program of supplying laptops
However, in order to offer effective digital learning teachers need to be trained on basic computer skills. This will equip them with digital literacy skills to implement education reforms in the 21st century. We are seeking support for the donation of laptops and projectors

Students Hostels
The goal of Shelter of Hope is to provide a boarding school in a structured environment for the holistic growth of a child. This kind of environment with good leadership nurtures learners who are independent, disciplined, and successful life. By the Lord’s provision, the construction of Girl’s hostel has begun. With a bed capacity of 60 students, we hope it will contribute to the wellbeing of our children. The goal is two have the two hostels completed by next year. As a partner pray with us for the resources – materials, funding, and skilled laborers – to construct a safe and loving hostels where these children can thrive. We ask that you would raise up volunteers and organizations to partner with us in this endeavor, providing both financial and physical support.
